She then indulged two of her great passions, skiing and good food, to work several ski seasons both in the Alps and in North America. Whilst in the Summer months cooking in Fishing/Shooting Lodges around Scotland.

Having been brought up in Highland Perthshire this was a great way to combine the fantastic Scottish scenary with the excellent fare that comes from it.

Moving back to Edinburgh to work for an outside catering company made her realise that restaurant chefing was not the same game, hence the move towards the planning and presentation of events rather that the catering side of them.

Other roles have included work at Leith's at the EICC and the Caledonian Hilton Hotel before spending several very happy years at The Scotch Malt Whisky Society where Rachel learned her whisky tasting skills and indeed love of the amber nectar!

Rachel has been with us here at Winton since January 2009.
