On the day itself, nothing was too much trouble and calm professionalism prevailed, even when the zip broke on my bridesmaid's dress - Morag to the rescue with a needle and thread! It was lovely for the girls to get ready in the bedrooms wearing clean, fluffy white robes while the boys went fishing at the lake.

The venue is stunning and both our adult guests and the children loved it. The sight of my godchildren running around on the croquet lawn in their kilts is a lovely memory. The comfortable atmosphere of the house contributed to the relaxed, joyful feeling of the wedding. The food was absolutely superb and everyone was well catered-for. As well as being a remarkable cook, Elizabeth is also a lovely person who was thoughtful, listened to our requests and accommodated our fussy eaters... All your recommendations for ceilidh, disco, florists and nearby accommodation for guests were spot on too and thank you for taking a lot of extra planning off our plate!

On the day after the wedding, our party tucked into a wonderful cooked breakfast laid on by the team then headed to the holiday cottage in the house grounds to visit ten of our lucky friends who had chosen to stay there. We found them extremely happy and reluctant to leave - ever! The accommodation was just beautiful and we hope to come back and stay ourselves in the future.

Many of our guests have told us our wedding was the best they have ever been to. We accept these compliments graciously, on behalf of the team at Winton House. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a magical wedding day.
