TV & Film Locations
There's reality tv and then
there's the real thing.
Costume drama is one thing, real drama another! How many estates have had the army of the young Chevalier Bonnie Prince Charlie make camp on his way south, been ransacked and burnt by invading English armies, or played host to Kings and Queens and modern day Presidents?
The House and Estate offer some exquisite and unusual backdrops as an excellent film location near Edinburgh. Winton still retains many of its original treasures, yet is equipped with ISDN, video conferencing enough power to host a rock concert, on-site catering and a flexible attitude to the demands of the producer.
Recent productions filmed here include 'Sugh en Eoma' (The Story of Whisky) for television on STV and 'The Century that Made us' for the BBC (documentary for 2006).
