Winton House
Team building tug o’war at Winton Highland Games near Edinburgh

The Winton Highland Games.

It was raining, it was windy, it was
cold. it was still fantastic fun.

Our very own Winton Highland Games includes tossing the caber, throwing the Winton stone, 'weight-for-distance' competitions, tossing the hay bale and tug-o'wars. Our Hiighland Games have a competitive edge but are a lot of fun. This is one of the best, most popular team building activities.

Depending upon what you want to do and the time available, we can also lay on the Winton Sprint (wearing kilts!), hay bale rolling, the farmers' walk, throwing the Winton hammer, highland dancing or even piping instruction. Winton Highland Games typically take 2 to 3 hours.

Everyone gets involved in a Winton Highland Games even in November, and there's always plenty of whisky to be won! Prizes can be awarded over lunch or tea, by Sir Francis, when he is available.

To see French guests enjoying Winton Highland Games, lunch and wisky tasting, watch the video to the right: 'Putting the fun back into corporate hospitality'.

We can cater for groups of 30 to 300. Groups should be placed in teams before arrival. Teams are given team wear, such as different coloured baseball hats (with your logo, given at least 3 weeks notice), and team names. Guests should wear trainers, jeans, shorts/t-shirts for the summer, or waterproofs in the spring/autumn/winter! Yes, the sun always shines at Winton… but, we can supply plastic ponchos for the unprepared!

We can also arrange for a local photographer as well as someone to video the day, if required.
