This historic, five star, self-catering farmhouse has an abundance of character and is within view of Winton House in a quiet corner of the Estate, half an hour's drive from Edinburgh in East Lothian (see location plan). Fully refurbished early in 2007 Winton Cottage is a large self-catering house, sleeping 10 to 12 in luxuriant comfort.
Winton Cottage has:
- 5 bedrooms (2 doubles, 1 twin and 2 interchangeable from double to twin)
- 5 newly modernized bathrooms, all with showers (each guest is supplied with bathrobe, slippers and set of 3 towels)
- Modern fully fitted farmhouse kitchen with large range cooker, breakfast bar, dishwasher and utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer
- Large dining room with patio doors leading to garden and grand drawing room with open fire
- A cosy drawing room with a lovely, open fire
- Games room complete with a pool table, plasma screen TV with freeview, DVD and CD player, wireless internet access and mini-bar
- Car parking for 20 cars
- Huge sunny, south-facing garden with plenty of space for entertaining: a barbeque area, sand pit, swing and summer house
- Golf club hire, course booking service and playing partners / guides
Winton Cottage can also be booked on a catered basis, and one option includes a live-in house-keeper (this would reduce the accommodation to 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms). The property can be rented in conjunction with Winton House and/or Wintonhill Farmhouse.
The property is a perfect place for all varieties of celebrations, family and group holidays and corporate parties. The garden has been designed to facilitate marquees on the lawn and is perfect for small to medium sized weddings, parties and christenings.

Additional Services
You can take advantage of our corporate membership of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society and enjoy a unique lunch or evening out at the Vaults in Leith or at their elegant rooms in Queen Street in the centre of Edinburgh.
The provision of all bed linen, towels and bath robes is included in the rent. If necessary, additional linen/towels can be supplied for a fee. We can also supply children's high chairs and a cot (please notify us in advance). Dogs are welcome but not in the house; cover is provided.
