Corporate events and conference venue near Edinburgh, Scotland.

A truly memorable venue
hidden in the heart of East
Lothian countryside, only half
an hour from Edinburgh.

Winton is a beautiful, historic country estate only half an hour from Edinburgh in East Lothian, a restful haven and source of inspiration (see location plan).

Now a hospitality venue, Winton House has been at the heart of Winton Estate for more than 500 years. The House is a gem from the Scottish Renaissance and is my family home. The Earl of Winton entertained the King here in 1633, and we still have the same enthusiasm for private and corporate events today; in fact, for the last three years, we have won World Travel Awards for our client service and our venue.

Winton House, available on an exclusive basis, is one of Scotland's finest stately homes and provides a marvellous venue for dinners, lunches & barbeques, conferences & meetings, activity days, team building, traditional Scottish weddings. Four and five star overnight and self-catering accommodation is also available for groups.

Across the Estate, we can provide a wide choice of team building activities alongside the traditional areas of farming and forestry. Activities range from clay pigeon shooting, falconry and golf, to Winton Highland Games, whisky tasting, and wine and Champagne tasting. There are walled and terraced gardens, and miles of foot paths through some of East Lothian's most beautiful countryside.

Some comments from visitors can be seen in our Scrap Book. You can also read our latest News and keep in touch through our Winton Wire newsletter.

The development of Winton Estate tends to be with the long term in mind; in the last 900 years it has been stewarded by only two family lines, the first being the Setons. I hope you enjoy our website and are encouraged to visit us.
